- What is ONE thing you’d like civilians to understand about being a military family?
Pssh that Uncle Sam does NOT send more money our way just for us wives to get knocked up repeatedly. That we do not carry little heathen kidlets around for 9 months, just to be tortured through the act of child birth just to make an extra couple bucks. And not all MilFamilies are uneducated, babypopping, barefoot, fugly, lazy lard tushies that milk the gov’t for everything we can. Because let’s be honest here… The U.S. Gov’t is in worse financial state then most people in the world. They are just better at pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes, borrowing behind backs, and raising taxes to cover their greediness. Back to the subject at hand though, we make do with what we have, yes the benefits make it a little bit easier but it’s still just as a struggle in the military as it is as a civilian to have a big family.
- What is your favorite mistake?
It’s not a mistake anymore. The first year I thought it was, I used to cry at night about where my life was going to be headed. In reality almost 12 years later, I couldn’t be happier to be the mom of the most beautiful, super tall, smart, and funny soon to be 12 year old preteen. She is my rock that keeps me centered some days. She’s not a mistake she’s a blessing that came in disguise.
- What indulgence could you give up for a year?
Hmm I’m selfish, no really I am therefore I really can’t say I’d give up much. BUT since I’ve already gone almost 7 months without buying an expensive Starbucks or Dutch Bros. Coffee; I’ll go with that. My indulgences are very small and if I had to give them up then everyone around me would be miserable.
- If you could be a winged animal, what would you be?
- What is one question you’d like to see asked in a future MFF?
LMAO omgosh I am such a dweeb. Last night while watching WEEDS I read this question and thought it was a new term for MILF. I was so utterly confused so I went to bed ignoring this, got up this morning and now I realize it is not in references to mothers but to the Milspouse Meme instead. *palmsforhead* With that said I’d like to see this question…
“If you could be a fugitive from the law for whatever reason; what would your crime be?”

I totally did the same thing with MFF. I was like, "What is that?" I was looking up military acronyms and everything. And then it hit me. Duh! Hahaha!
Very creative question! I love it!! And ditto on your civilian question!
LOVE your number one :) Soooooo true!
Haha people are always thinking that milwives wear pajamas all day and have 18 kids. Nothing wrong with that but I find that people think I'm crazy because I'm almost 26 and don't have one yet.
I love your answer to number 5! And I think I'd want to be a dragon too:)
I totally hear your on number one, I cannot stand the fugly baby popping stereotype either, drives me insane.
I love your answer to #1...because it just floors me that people really think that's what military life is about. Military members serve our country for reasons other than money; and it's not like we DO get more money for having more kids. It's a crazy world out there.

Amen to number one!
Thumbs up for this information. I have twittered it and will definitely let the rest of my online network know. They should think it as informative as myself.
Oh that's a good question you came up with!
It's interesting about your answer to number one. The Hubble put my diploma in a prominent place in our home and one of his buddies told me one day that it was good to show it because too many people think we wives are uneducated. It's such a shame.
And yes! You don't get extra money when you have more kids! Whether you have 1 or 10 you get the same amount!
It is such a shame. Although with Dirt Diver's diploma for college, I have my name on a sticky over his name. *snicker*
It is ridiculous how people view us as baby makers milking the gov't. I am so tired of hearing the money statement. Even my SIL thought it was true. Had to set her straight quick.
Off to visit you blog!
LOL I've always thought dragons are cool. How they can be soooo big and yet still fly. But I'd be a nice one.
